Data protection
Privacy and POPIA notice
How information submitted through the PSSA 2026 Congress website is collected, used and protected.
Why we collect information
Information submitted through the abstract and registration forms is collected to administer congress participation, communicate outcomes and arrangements, manage the scientific review process, prepare the programme, support delegate needs and maintain appropriate congress records.
What we collect
We collect only the information requested in the relevant form, including identity and contact details, professional or student information, abstract content, attendance preferences, dietary or accessibility requirements and declarations needed for scientific and administrative purposes.
Use and access
Submission data is not displayed on public pages. Access is restricted to the site owner and authorised committee users who require the information for congress administration. Reasonable safeguards are used to prevent accidental public display or unauthorised access.
Marketing consent
Consent to future PSSA communications is optional and separate from acceptance of the registration terms. Declining optional communications does not prevent congress registration.
Retention
The formal retention period is being finalised and will be inserted here following committee and institutional confirmation.
Correction or deletion
To request access, correction or deletion of personal information, contact physiology@up.ac.za. Requests will be handled subject to applicable legal, institutional and legitimate record-keeping requirements.
